Fake.

I´m not one to be impressed with green screen rigs and the filming that goes with it. It´s just a cheaper and less creative way to recreate something you could shoot in real life.

However, this clip is pretty impressive. Open up my eyes to what is possible. But I´m old school, screw green screen, compositing and post production.

Well... I if you think that was impressive, then check this out. Reality is just as real as we want it to be.

Made by one guy alone!

That was incredible. I don´t know what to say.

Oh come on Pierre, think about what Star Wars would be like without green screen and composting.

I´m not saying I didn´t like Star Wars due to green screen. Just saying I´m not professionally interested / intrigued by this type of cheating.

I mean, look at this:

All fake, however impressive.

Fair enough... but much of we do and have done is fake. Look at the Afterbang intro for instance. All of this CG, composting, green screening... all just tools of the trade. Really it is no different than shooting a movie on super 8 and "cutting" it on a MacPro instead of splicing and taping it. Now that's "old school".
