Chloe Sevigny skates

Awesome old skate photos

Warren Bolster was one of the first skateboard photographers and also an avid surf photographer. Truly original.

Extreme Little Saturday

Jussi Oksanen swung by Stockholm for a WESC dinner/party. He also got squeezed in some flips and barefoot wall rides.

I like the fact that Jussi even came up with sliding on his feet to a dive. Snow/skateboarders have a tendency to come up with creative ways to play, both on and off the job.
I have a hard time imagining a FIS skier (for example), or alpine snowboarder.. coming up with something like this.
Not saying it was a groundbreaking idea, but it just shows a different way of thinking. If you don´t understand what I`m getting at you probably don´t snow/skateboard.

Vince did an extreme bs 7 tailgrab and Simon guinea pigged the extreme drop. Rolf made extreme food.

Tony Hawk, a jackass?

Apparently this tool at Fox News thinks Tony is a jackass. Poor Greg Gutfeld, poor little elitist, narrow minded, human,.. your life must me lamer than the former president´s.
With this attitude I can´t see you being very "happy-go-lucky".

So if you disagree with him you are "worse than Hitler". What a classy, educated comment from poor Greg.

Here´s the link and video:

Insane Snowboarding from 1968!

Two dudes riding snurfers in the 60´s! Are you kidding me? So sick.

I posted some new pictures on Flickr

You can see them here:

Or you can turn on a good song, like this one for example, and watch the photos in a slideshow.

So Jereme Rogers is retiring?

How old is he, 23?

I guess time will tell.

At least Phuket gets more rain

This weekend is Midsummer Weekend in Sweden and than usually involves vodka, gross fish, games and the company of good friends.

Every other year (about) it also involves rain.

And that´s what the forecast is sayin..

I love that they put Phuket, Thailand, on there. Like it´s part of Sweden.
For those of you who haven´t been to Sweden.., Phuket is very much part of Sweden, except it´s 20 hours away by plane.
I´ve never been there, but I think the majority of Swedes have. And to those Swedes that are there:
You´re getting rain too!

1:35, 2:24 & 3:07 are pretty funny:

Businesses VS Artists

Google wants to use artists work on their site, in return for... yeah, free exposure.
Cause God forbid artists made some money.

Just more proof that business people and artists will never understand each other.

Two clips that influenced me

Looking back at these two clips I can say that they had a big impact on my filmmaking.

Stacy filmed these guys sessioning spots, not too contrived but still with some direction/idea behind it.

Nice open minded dude in Portland Maine, not.

His name is Mike Violette and thinks the city shouldn´t give any funding to skateboarders.

Love the Crail Couch™

Two simple videos of Fever Ray and Neil Young

Neil Young sure got some nice tunes.
I think when Volcom used "Heart Of Gold" in their 1994-ish release The Garden it changed my perception of what a snowboard movie can accomplish. The grainy super8 images with huge snowflakes to Neil´s tune was a great match. Maybe one of the best in action sport cinema.

Fever Ray is Karin´s, from The Knife, new project. It´s pretty out there, even for a weirdo like me.
How she can get such a huge crowd listening to her on a rainy Saturday night in the woods at 11pm is a small mystery.
Like when the jock next to me says to his jock friend:
- "This stuff is great, wow that last song was so sick"..
That´s just so weird. He probably listens to Håkan Hellström and The Killers, but for reason he loves Fever Ray.. (great stereotyping eh? :)
