Solar Eclipse in Stockholm.

Today most of Sweden got to witness a partial (80%) eclipse. I love these things.
In the late 90's I went to France to see a total eclipse and I will for sure travel to see another one.

Apparently the Faroe Islands and Svalbard will have a total eclipse in 2015 while the north of Sweden will have a partial.

Met David again today.

Got a call around 11 yesterday morning (yes I was still sleeping) from my friends Vincent and Åsa who wondered if I can shoot an interview with David Lynch in about an hour.
I said yes.

He´s in town to talk about Transcendental Meditation and I must say it was quite intriguing to listen to him talk about it.
Charismatic man indeed.

Vince snapped some photos as well, good day.

I am a huge Twin Peaks fan and I loved his movie Straight Story (top 10 I´ve ever seen). The rest of his work is good too, but those are my favs.
Straight Story made a real impact on me. I had never heard of it and a Swiss friend happened to have the dvd with him while we had cabin fever on a mountain in Norway. He didn´t even recommend it, just said: "I bought it at some airport and it was kinda slow, but you can watch if you like".
Two hours later I had this feeling within that I´ve never had from watching a movie. That´s why I rather not know too much about a movie when I see one. Trailers and reviews kinda ruin the experience for me. I never read the back of dvd where some Warner Bros dude tries to sell me the movie in 10 rows of text.
Go watch it, preferably with your phone off and no Facebooking during the movie:)

This clip with where Angelo Badalamenti explains the workflow between him and Mr Lynch gave me goosebumps. Truly amazing.

Today he came by the Veda House (which happens to be 100 meters from my place) to raise a flag to celebrate that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi came to Sweden 50 years ago to teach Transcendental Meditation and some casual meet and greet.

There was a small crowd loitering around and no press which I thought was pretty cool.

I helped my friend Åsa (her parents run Veda) to film a short interview for the Veda House website.

Yesterdays interview was for an upcoming tv documentary / show by Annika Dopping.

I must say that I´m quite intrigued by this meditation stuff. The way he speaks about it makes me want to try and learn it.
Who wouldn´t want to have more creative thoughts and excelled intuition?

Here´s a clip Swedish TV4 did on him yesterday:

Mr Lynch has a great website as well:

Saw a protest today.

It´s the day after the Swedish election and people in Stockholm went to protest against the Swedish Democracy party (right wing, nationalistic, racist party) who got 5.7% of the votes.

Fourstar team in Stockholm.

Some of you might have seen this clip before, it was up for a few days in May but I took it down because Fourstar might wanted to use some clips in their tour video.

They didn´t use any clips so I´m posting it again.

Here´s the Fourstar tour video, Gang Of Fourstar. The Stockholm section starts at 6:40.

3 million views, 2nd most watched clip on Youtube this week and 2nd most viral video in the world.

Aftonbladet made an article about it´s distribution too. But they seemed smart enough not to use a screen grab of my clip (which the news is based on) and use the one Bounce made.

The local magazine where I went to high school wrote about it too and it was the most read article for a day or two and number two for this week.
Stats, stats, stats.

Some people commented on it and said it wasn´t news though. Because viral video charts and Aftonbladet among others must not know what they are talking about. There were some pretty amusing comments, but they got removed.
Having a Swedish dance collective dancing in the streets of Stockholm and that clip becoming this popular can´t be news.

Youtube mania side effects

Since I made the MJ clip I´ve been bombarded with emails from people who want me to put up their videos as responses on my page or just review their personal clips.

Here´s one:

"Please take time out and check out my videos. I leave me a comment on my videos."
Thanks Just Patrick

#1 on Youtube

And 3rd on the Viral Video Chart!

I assume that it was the most watched clip in the world yesterday, fun.
Now when I know that it's possible I can't wait to make #1 again. Just need to find the right project...

What a trippy day. Me and Vince tried to work on this commercial yesterday, but we didn´t get much done. I was too busy getting phone calls and emails about this MJ clip.

I know it was something special when I shot it, but nothing too crazy. But for some reason it really caught on fire.

The official clip that Bounce made got uploaded a day after mine and has 302 views :)
Not the best PR work.
And they even managed to stretch some clips so the people look 4 feet tall and weigh 250lbs :)
Not the best editing work.

Pretty heavy traffic on the MJ clip

I have some clips on Youtube with pretty heavy rotation.

I didn´t check my email for a few hours and was quite surprised when I had 400 unread emails, funny.

One where my boss jumps his car that has about 17.000.000 I think, the last segment from Mtn Lab 1.5 has a few million hits too and then there are a few teasers that are around 2-300.000.
But this MJ clip did pretty good too.

Most viewed clip in Sweden today an number 8 on Youtube global favorite list. Not too shabby.

Plus the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet had over 33.000 hits on their version this moring that they stole (ripped the video) and used as if they shot it, with logo and everything. They have a nice little letter from my lawyer coming their way on Monday.

It´s pretty weird that whoever did PR for this hired photographers and filmers to shoot it and distribute it on Youtube. But they still haven´t managed to make a clip. And they had Monster Energy Drink sponsor it to pay for the filmers etc... Seems to me like someone should be fired. And Monster can contact me if they want to have their logo on the clip so they get some return on their investment.

http://viralvideochart.unrulymedia.com have the clip listed as #4 today. Beating Michael´s daughters tearful goodbuy and Larry King´s clip with the "ghost".

Perez Hilton contributed with over 80.000 views today as well, plus it the most emailed link from his site.

Internet, powerful shit.

MJ clip

Even Perez Hilton found the clip I uploaded, funny.

Michael Jackson tribute in Stockholm today at Sergels Torg and Central Station

The dance collective Bounce invited the public for a choreographed lesson before performing parts of Beat It at three locations in Stockholm.
These two are from Sergels Torg and the Central Station. The third one will be at Stureplan at 23.00.
