Pow Shred
Five dudes from Stocktown went to the mtns.
One guy did back to back 540´s.
One guy ordered pizza through 411 (eller 118 100 som vi kallar det i Sverige).
One guy sleeps on the floor.
One guy did a sick bs 180 in his last run.
One guy lost the car keys...
So now we are:
Three guys playing each other across the table in chess, online at chess.com.
The one guy is trying to sleep, on the floor.
The guy with the 540´s is sleeping (and trying how to get home on monday since the one guy lost the car keys).
The guy who lost the keys still hasn´t showered.
One guy in missing his salt&vinegar chips that are locked up in the car.
Five guys who had two sweet pow runs in the resort (maybe 20cm/7inches) and yamped (swedish for jump) the best snowboard park in Sweden at the moment (thanks to park shaper Jonas Wilhemson).
We ate supa good pasta after the first daylight shred session.
We ate supa good pork tenderloin after the night shred.
Our friends who we met up with here (the pros) are at the bar, us five aren´t.
It´s 3.45 in the morning now.
The car keys are gone.
We don´t even know if there´s a spare (in Stockholm).
All five of us had a great time.
Good thing the guy who lost the key noticed it at the end of the session so the stoke factor didn´t go away.
Here´s our day:
I need to shower now. Maybe a 4 am sauna first..?

Pow this weekend?
I just uploaded eight clips from the 90´s.
http://vimeo.com/album/46246
I´m sick today and thought it would be a good idea to upload some nostalgic clips from the 90´s.
There are about 500 more of these, but I´m not too motivated to go through them anytime soon, maybe some of them around x-mas if I have the time.
Here are the first 8 clips:
A clip I did with Donny Barley in the fall of 1997.
Shot mostly in Stockholm, Sweden and some
demos / contests in Prague, Holland and Germany.
Donny Barley - Sweden from pierre on Vimeo.
Todd in the half pipe at the 55 DSL contest in Riksgränsen, Sweden.
Todd Richards - Riksgränsen 1994 from pierre on Vimeo.
Peter Line in Sweden, 1994.
Peter Line - Riksgränsen 1994 from pierre on Vimeo.
Intro to a movie I made around 1993-94.
Intro till "Shoot Em Down" from pierre on Vimeo.
My first trip to California - 1995.
This segment is part of a movie I did in 1996 called "Kvällens Program".
My first trip to California - 1995 from pierre on Vimeo.
Montage from 1997 of random tricks filmed that year.
Blandat 1 from pierre on Vimeo.
Montage from 1998. Filmed in Sweden and southern California.
Blandat 2 from pierre on Vimeo.
First movie I did; Cadillac of Dudes. I did film some stuff before this, but not edited to music and stuff.

"Christians" who hate swedes.
Here´s a clip from a BBC production that focuses on the christian followers of Westboro Baptist Church and the founder Fred Phelps.
(On Swedish Kanal 9 tonight at 21.00)
The people who are part of WBC claim, among many things, that most natural disasters and terrorist attacks are God´s punishment for a society that tolerates homosexuality.
And for that reason they really have it out for Sweden I assume.
You can always read up on this at: www.godhatessweden.com
Read more about the making of this documentary / Phelps family here:

And here:

Or at their official site: www.godhatesfags.com
The clip is pretty depressing, reminds me how diverse and horrible America can be / is.

New BMX clip with Allen Cooke
http://bmx.dcshoes.com/videos/#allan-cooke-bmx-teamworks
I only shot a couple of shots, Ross at DC Films put together the rest.
Greenville North Carolina is the BMX Makkah of the world. Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist have warehouses there and pretty much everyone who´s in the BMX industry hangs out there once in a while.
It was so hot when we shot there, like 110 fahrenheit and 100% humidity.
Some pics from Greenville:
Oh and by the way..

Stocks... wtf
So Quiksilver was $0.81 on Friday.. But I was too greedy to buy some, idiot.
Like the dip from $2.8 to $0.81 in a couple weeks wasn´t enough...
Was gonna buy in at $0.8, but my greed ($0.01) cost me 54%.
Not a bad turnaround in one day (if you´re a frequent trader).
Hmm, it will be interesting to see what happens with Quiksilver.
This stock was over $10 in June, $8.5 in September, $2.8 three weeks ago then $0.81 on Friday and BOOM; $1.37 today. Jesus.
Snowboard Contest Weekend
So there was a snowboard contest here this weekend.
Read more about it here:
Video.
Pikturs.
As well as some plastic boxes for the skiers to play on. Extreme.
Iikka hangin at Medborgarplatsen. The Forum crew filmed like half of their movie "That" in this park.
This spot is where Eddie Wall jumped over the fence.
Watch Eddie´s part here.
This is at the garage of the Sheraton Hotel. Much of the Stockholm skate scene in the 90´s took place here.
It was pretty much the best place to skate in the winter. It´s still outside, but has a roof.
Nothing like the skate parks the spoiled kids have today.
There was a little get together on Saturday at the garage.
Jens Andersson was showing his photos from the 90´s there and lots of 30+ skaters showed up to reminisce.
Read more about the Sheraton book "Sheraton Years" here.
Here´s a video part with Martin Karlsson from
the early 90´s with a lot of shots from the infamous garage.
This is what I woke up to on Saturday morning. Well it was more like lunchtime cause when I came back home earlier that morning there was no snow on the streets.
Iikka at the DC Sweden suv. Looks kinda grandma to me, the car I mean.
The crowd at the stadium.
Davva S and Vinca playin tunes in the tent at the contest.
This is what Stockholm looked like today, after a 20 hour hurricane.
Kind of makes me wish I was out boarding, or filming boarding.
Anyone gotta job for me?
Seriously I want to film some snowboarding.

Financial Crisis
Here´s a 10 min clip where Peter Schiff calls out the current financial crisis years ago, almost to the tee.
It´s really amazing, especially since he´s more or less laughed at by big guns like Arthur Laffer (Reagan´s financial advisor and investor) and Ben Stein (political and economical celebrity).
I love when Ben is suggesting to buy Merril Lynch stock at the "might as well give them away in a cereal box" bargain price of $76.04.
They were worth $9.60 today (even down 16% from yesterday).
Or Charles from wstreet.com best pick for 2008 - Washington Mutual
(one of America´s largest banks) at the bargain price of $13.07 at the end of 2007.
Today it was worth $0.039... wow.
I´d like to put these words in Peter Schiff´s mouth:
- "I told you so"

Creative Matix Clothing Commercial
Would be fun to work on something like this, I really liked this concept.
Granted most tricks don´t translate well with the camera angle it was still a cool commercial.
Here are the commercials.
Version 1
Version 2
And here´s the behind the scenes clip on how they made it.
Basically how you turn a tangram puzzle to skateable things.
Please watch the evolution of the "Grape Lady"
OK, watch this one first, skip to 0:50 if you have adhd.
Then watch this one:
Made my day.
Here are more Grape Lady clips:
Her son on a bike.
Her son on a skateboard.
Scarlett Johansson as the Grape Lady.

Eric Koston with a sweet manny trick and deep deep thoughts about boarders and their video parts
Here´s Koston´s 1440 manual:
www.crailtap.com/c3/newrandoms/Demo_Koston_101508_N_360_nw_spin_out_.mov
I love watching Koston doing tricks like this.
I was never a big fan of who did what down those stairs or that ledge.
To me it was always more entertaining to watch the pros do things on obstacles that me and the not-so-good skaters could relate to.
I like Eric´s manny line at 1:22 in this clip.
There are some other sweet shots in this part too, like the line with the nollie back foot impossible as well as other team manager pleasing tricks.
That´s the vibe I´ve been trying to put out in snow videos as well. Like why does (did) Travis Parker need to do a fs 5, fs 9, bs 7 , 22 stair bs lipslide back in the days he did video parts?
Well he didn´t and I´m very happy about that cause I rather watch him play around with his footplants and rodeos into trees etc than to see his list of "must do" (that he could do if he wanted to) tricks get marked off by a team manager.
Like when we used Travis failed attempt of a double backflip in Lame, it´s a shame not more riders could get away with that.
It´s like if Tiger Woods came to your town.
Would you rather see him play the local 18 hole course surrounded by a bunch of stuck up elitist golfers or go to the park and play with a couple of balls and aim for trees and other fun things in the line of fire?
I´d choose Woods in the park.
Here are Travis parts from Afterbang (2002) and Lame (2003).
Trav, thanks for doing this at a time where most pro shreds weren´t.

Please watch the first 25 sec of this clip and let me know if it worked on you.
It worked on me, so scary. My jaw seriously dropped.
David Blaine is pretty entertaining, plenty of Youtube clips of him. Criss Angel is worth a watch too.
