Moved from Park City, drove to Cali...

It´s been a while... again...

So I moved out of my Park City condo. That wasn´t fun. I´ve moved so many times these past years and it´s driving me nuts. Right now I`m homeless, I need a home! Shouldn´t you have a home when you´re 30? I think so.

As I was packing a lot of my Cali friends were hanging out at the music festival Coachella. WE cloting had a party there + about 30 bands I like played, but I was packing.

The drive to San Diego sucked, my body was hurting from sitting for 12 hours.. and I just got of a 24 hour trip from Sweden.

Luckily I got back to the US on the last day when taxes were due. So I went to the IRS and paid up. According to www.costofwar.com I now paid for a few seconds of the war in Iraq. VERY motivating.
Doesn´t it make a lot of sense that you have to pay taxes, but you can´t vote... I love it.

Provo canyon, very pretty. The redneck family it the pic were not nice. The dude told me I couldn´t take pics of his 5 inbred kids that were 200 feet away. It´s pretty safe to say that he or his wife will never become the president of The United States of America.

Here you go Bush.

Another pic on the road between Park City and Provo.

It´s a strange feeling to just pass Vegas, in like 5 minutes...

I also went to Tahoe (Northstar) to shoot for a week or something, maybe it was 4 days... I don´t know. The weather was nice and we got some stuff done. I had almost the whole DC crew there and it was kind of my first time filming since my neck accident. Tahoe is a beautiful place, I really like it there.
Gunny and his crew were great to us and hopefully I´ll make the resort look good too.

The drive there kind of sucks too. Although I didn´t drive, but I was in the car both ways. It sucked. Could have been a lot longer drive if Spring Break Jake went on the I-80 west to Sacramento... (when we were leaving Reno to go to Utah) that would have been fun though.

We basically shot the whole DC video here. It´s true.

The last day we went to Reno to party, it was fun. I passed out on the limo floor on the way back, not from being drunk though, just tired.

I went to Burbank (LA) for a while to transfer film. It took a long time. I had a lot of footage and I could only work certain evenings. Good thing my friend Hjalle had some time off since it was Cinco De Mayo (a "mexican" holiday that americans came up with). Hampus and Jakob were also in town as well as The Rehn.

Would suck if my car got stolen here.

Film transfer + listening to the 6th game between Canucks and Mighty Ducks.. Duck´s won, lame.

I was hungry for like 5 hours before I found a place to eat at. La Salsa at the food court in a mall, sooo good. I was seriously not functioning before I got this food. It was like 6 in the afternoon and I hadn´t eaten since 6 the eveing before... this tends to happen to me a lot.

Taking a pee with Catalina island in the background.

This is what Catalina looked 2 days later.

On may 5th, we started drinking on the beach (very illegal) but we are such risktakers. Then we went to Venice in a taxi that played ABBA. We played ping pong and watched people hit the pinata. Then we went to a bar and some of us started puking (it was about 9.30 at night now).
After some club hopping we were all in bed at 11 or something and I fell asleep in my car with the door open and with my feet sticking out towards the side mirror. Classic.

Here´s me. In swedish.

I´ll update my last 20 days soon...

Ok, so I havent blogged in a month...

It´s been a busy month... went to Sweden. Flew back to Park City, drove to Lake Tahoe and tomorrow I´m driving all my stuff to my San Diego storage unit.

Here are some pics from my Sweden trip:

Chillin at Kales house in San Diego the day before my flight. The route (might have metioned it earlier) was not fun.
Salt Lake City - Phoenix - San Diego - sleep at Kales (and shop electronics for the family) - San Diego - Washington DC - Munich - Stockholm - Skelleftea - Lulea via Taxi.

More relaxing at Kales.

I hate this. I just wanna fast forward 20 hours and be home.

This is the best part about flying. Lots of legroom and people who smell like sausage. Add kids who scream for 5 hours and a 1.5 hour delay and you have a party.

I´m not a big fan of airports that allow smoking. Here´s a sweet smoking area in the airport in Munich.

United Airlines thought it would be a good idea to sit in Washington DC for an extra 90 minutes before taking off. That resulted in me missing the flight from Munich to Stockholm. And there weren´t any flight from Stockholm to any of the three airports in northern Sweden that day. So I was told to stay in Munich for 22 hours before I could go home. Just what I needed. But the experienced traveller I am I figured out some loop holes and made it to my parents that evening. I think the poor girls name was Regina Velt, she was on the phone for a solid two hours trying to figure my route out.

After standing at the Lufthansa counter for 2.5 hours I barely made the flight to Stockholm. Good thing I forgot my 500 GB hard drive at the security checkpoint (I figured that out in Stockholm 3 hours later). After 20 phonecalls to people who doesn´t speak any english I found it! My friend David from Muinch was kind enought to swing by the lost and found office and Fed Ex it to Park City. Danke.

Sweet scandinavian skies.

I forgot how much I like SAS. Look at my food plate. Although all airlines do suck from time to time, this one SAS flight was pretty awesome.

Baileys, Tony Hawk video game and swedish speaking people around me. I felt great.

Why is this bimbo in the papers. This is the first thing I read when I get on the plane to Stockholm.
Can´t someone stop this woman? We don´t need to know anything about this so called person.

Denmark to the left, Sweden to the right.

I couldn´t get a flight to Lulea that day, but I managed to get one to Skelleftea and I also talked my way into a taxi to Lulea. It was only 230 euros. I brought Stina along too, so that was nice.

Raindeer jerky, are you kidding me! The best ever. If there´s one thing raindeers are good for it´s eating them. Not walking on our highways like the lapplanders make then do. I hate raindeers. Almost killed me a few years ago and the fucking lapplander (owner) tried to scam the government for a few extra bucks claiming the raindeers had some reflecting vest on them! I almost died and this dude wants to make another 1000 €.
Anyway, got a little sidetracked there...

This is how you make coffee. Quite the contrast from my Starbucks cups.

Hekla getting in her cage for another road trip.

View of eastern Skelleftea.

Hanna, Anna, me and Stina before going out on easter saturday.

This place has a sweet view. Would be sweet to have a pad there.

Had this thing that grew under my ear when I had the neckbrace on.. the public doctor said it was an infection and that there was no stress. Good thing I have private health insurance (yes, you need that un Sweden if you don´t mind waiting three months for treatment). The second doctor was more concered and within one day that had put all kinds of needles and stuff into my "thing". After x-rays they knew it was a tumor :(
I had to leave for work in Lake Tahoe, which the doctor didn´t think was sucha great idea, but what are you gonna do?
After a week in the US the results came back and they showed that it was a "good" tumor. They kind of knew that from the
x-rays too, but it still felt good to know. So I need to take it out pretty soon, within a few weeks preferably.
After 30 I guess you just start falling apart... broken neck and a tumor within one month of turning 30... lame.

I´ll post some more in a few days. Got to pack a bunch now, looooong drive tomorrow. Damn, I want to go outside. It´s like 25 celcius outside. and I´m on the comp.. and packing...

Oh just got invited to a bbq in SLC, a great excuse not to pack...

More southern California

So there weren´t any hotels (under 200$ a night) in Burbank where I had the filmtransfers. So I stayed at Hjalle´s in Manhattan Beach. At night it´s only a 25 min drive, compared to 45-80 min during the day.

Remember to check me out on Jay Leno on Kanal 5 in Sweden at 1 in the morning fri/sat. I´m in the front the very first 10 sec, in the black hat and grey striped sweater.

My nack has been ok. Took of the brace last thursday. So I´ve only been using it when I´m driving. Whiplash probably wouldn´t be that sweet right now.

On saturday me and Hjalle went out with 4 finns and some local girls. Leland has been working at some bars in Hollywood, so we stoked to hang with her. If anyone thought Stockholm was hard to get into for 6 dudes in baggy clothes on a saturday you haven´t tried LA...

We left early though because Hjalle and Jussi T were going to Big Bear to snowboard at 6 in the morning.

Sunday was rest-the-neck.day.

Monday was kind of the same.

Watched a documentary called "Who Killed The Electric Car". It was pretty good, a little slow at times, but worth watching.

The day after I started to make my way down to Carlsbad and DC. I had to look for some stuff in my storage unit too.
I found half the stuff I expected to find there... so some shit is lost, bummer.

I hung out with Coco the pudel and rested for another two days before I headed back to Park City Utah, where I am at the moment.

I´ve been thinking about coming to Sweden for a week or so to rest but tickets are super expensive... they get cheaper after the 5th, but that´s kinda late.

Hopefully I´ll find something tomorrow. I want to eat some Palt and Frasses burgers. I want to throw sticks to Hekla and maybe play with the owner too.

My friend Renee Renee had a baby, Era, this week too. Concratulations Re Re and Shar!

Dropped by a Star Wars exhibit before I drove down to San Diego, fun.

May the force be with you / Pierre
