Torstein beats the other corkers to it.

I saw Torstein a few weeks ago and told him that it would be a good idea for him to call me in in a week or three to go shoot a triple cork at one of the resorts in Norway.
Then when I was on a train today our mutual friend Thomas Harstad texted me and said "go check out Torstein´s Facebook".
But since I have a beater phone (due to losing two iPhones in 7 days and not being able to crack any of the two I have left) I couldn´t check it on the subway.
I suspected it had something to do with the triple cork so I called Thomas... Torstein picked up.
I was like "so what´s on your Facebook?". He was vague and didn´t have a response so he passed the phone over to Thomas again.
Thomas refused to tell me what it was about and that pretty much confirmed that Torgmo had done a triple cork, without inviting me! Fucker. These little brats... think they can toy with the old filmer.

I´ll just invoice DC a $35k consulting fee and they don´t need to pay Tortein´s incentive when he wins gold at the X-Games next year. That is unless ESPN comes up with another genius idea like having the American viewers text in the results.

Good on you. I´m stoked you did it before anyone else. But count on a handful of peeps hucking one at the next X-Games.

Stoked for Mikkel, Torstein and Halldor, hope they kill it in slopestyle today as well. They qualified top 3 so I hope they end up top 3 as well.

Torsteins run from the Dew Tour yesterday.

He got like 5th or something yesterday with this run. It was a little sketchier but he had to go last and the light was horrible by then.
I´m not a fan of contests, especially when the fucking commentators can´t call the tricks. It´s so embarrassing, stupid tools.

This is the intro to Mtn Lab 1.5 (the latest full length movie I worked on).

I've always been a fan of old ski video's from the 80's. This was a tribute to them.

New clips I edited for DC.

Here are two new clips I've edited. Well I edited 99.9% of them, one weak clip made it into the Chile edit that I wasn't responsible for. Whoever guesses the clip/trick gets a prize.
Unfortunately the encoding is anything but great. But you kids these days don't really care about that anyway, so no reason to apologize on DC's behalf.
I also heard that they are on auto play... which obviously suck.. I'll ask DC if they can change that.

The first one is from Chile and was filmed by Jaakko Itäaho.
Jaakko, together with Brad Kremer made Picture This, From _ With Love, Follow Me Around, Double Decade and the new Burton 'B' movie. Even though Burton said they made it, which I'm sure they did. I haven't seen it yet but I know it would have been a better movie if Brad and Jaakko would have had final cut. By saying that I guess I'm giving Burton free consultation, like I've done many times before. None of it reached the top though.

I did see the "B" dvd (in a vhs box) at the Burton SoHo store yesterday.

It was actually playing on the projector as well. But for the first time in many years (maybe forever) I had no urge to see it or buy the most expensive (production) snowboard movie of the season. Actually that is not true. The Burton 2006 release "For Right Or Wrong" (you can see the trailer here, after the 20 second corporate commercial) that I'm sure less than 2% of you saw was another release I wasn't eager to buy.

The Burton guys are coming to town in a few days though for the "B" premier so I'll give you a review after that.

While at the Burton store I walked across the street to the DC store as well. And there they had the Mtn Lab playing in stretched fat mode on the screens, great. You spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and tens of thousands of hours (lots of "of" here) and then they destroy your creation in one second by hitting the "fill screen" button on the remote. Great, just great.
Travis looked a little pudgy in this format.
