Film Premier in Orem, Utah on friday.

I´m in Salt Lake City, working on the teaser and trying to make sure the dvd get´s replicated.. should run like clockwork...

I guess Milo is having a DC Mtn Lab 1.5 premier in Orem on friday. So if you´re in the area you should try and go.
Don´t think there will be that many more premiers unfortunately.

Back to work..

I guess the fat lady hasn't sung yet.

So I thought I was done with the movie... no.

The dvd authoring didn't meet my standards.. so I have this dude in Seattle wrapping it up now. Flying up there tomorrow morning to make sure it gets done right.

Then I fly to Salt Lake City on monday to the replicator...

Then I need to make a new teaser, cause we never got the rights to the one I made 3.5 months ago...

Then... I need to start moving out of my house that I never moved into... still boxes everywhere.

Going out in San Diego tonight with some finns. Should be awesome.

Bye.

Went and test drove this thing yesterday... not lame. Want to buy.

Mastering movie and Chicago premier

Long hours.. I dont recommend staying up for more than 24 hours.. You get kind of dizzy and dumb after that. Combine that with needing to be focused for another 8 hours..

I can eat panang curry and Thai ice tea every day.

Chicago views.

Warren Miller seems to make movies still... and they have ads all over the city for their premiers. I never understood who goes to these things.

The stupid museum closed at 4pm! I obviously showed up after that... what museum closes before a bank?
Holiday Inn, classy.

Skill.

Tonight I will be done

Friday, no sleep.
Saturday, no sleep.
Sunday, slept between 7-11.30 and then from 23-7.
Monday, no sleep.
Tuesday, slept 6 hours...

I feel that I need to get healthy soon...

This can´t be good.

Good thing it´s halloween tonight and then I´m going to Chicago to get wasted for two nights.
Only to fly back to LA on saturday for some more liver damage.

Mammoth opens their slopes right after that too... another excuse to party.

Pretty safe to say I´m not running a marathon any time soon.

Me.
Yeah, been there.
Me on Hjalles couch.
Me and Lance Armstrong have nothing in common.

Ballerina cookie anyone?

If I had a dollar

for every time I thought I was "almost" done with this movie I could buy at least 100 tacos at Jack In The Box (they have a special now by the way, 2 tacos for 99 cents).

But in nine hours I´m going to LA to master this bitch and then I´m going to Chicago for two days to watch the one premier we have left, I also plan on drinking mojitos for the next weeks. For breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The swedes left this morning. I´m pretty sure they had a fun trip. I worked a lot, but still managed to go to a few fun parties and have some Taco Bell.

Here are some pics and a press release from DC that got posted last week.

SUBARU DRIVER KEN BLOCK FEATURED JUMPING HIS RALLY CAR ON THE COVER OF SNOWBOARDER MAGAZINE AND IN THE NEW DC SNOWBOARD VIDEO

(Oct 23, 2007) Subaru Rally Team USA driver Ken Block and his Monster Energy Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car have landed on the cover of the December issue of Snowboarder Magazine , hitting newsstands this week. The cover shot features Block getting airborne in his Subaru at New Zealand's Snow Park Resort with DC Shoes pro-snowboarder Torstein Hargmo flying alongside the car on his snowboard.

Block, an avid snowboarder and co-founder of DC Shoes, recently brought his Subaru to the snowboard park at New Zealand's Snow Park Resort to join the DC Snowboard Team for a multi-day session that combined filming, snowboarding, and driving for a unique experience captured for DC's second full-length snowboarding video, Mtn.Lab 1.5. Along with the cover shot there is a multi-page feature full of photos from the session and a double sided pull-out poster featuring two more photos of Block's rally car catching air in the park.

Block had the impetus for hitting the snow with his Subaru rally car after successfully jumping it 171 ft. for the Discovery Channel show Stunt Junkies late in 2006. After several attempts to set up a snow jump in the USA, the opportunity came together in New Zealand and Ken Block joined the DC Snowboard team as they filmed at Snow Park Resort in New Zealand's South Island.

"After I completed the Stunt Junkies jump last winter, I started kicking around the idea of trying a jump out on the snow," explained Block. "I've been a snowboarder for a long time and have loved driving in the snow since I first got behind the wheel. It was always a dream of mine to take a rally car to a ski resort and really see what I could do with it. I started talking with Mtn.Lab 1.5 Director Pierre Wikberg and some of the guys from the DC Snow Team and we decided to film it for the snow video and see what would come out of the idea."

Block and the team of DC snowboarders filmed together in the Snow Park Resort's main park on several obstacles and the crew built a 55ft tow-in kicker on flat ground to create a unique playground for the rally car and snowboarders alike. Block towed the snowboarders into several park obstacles behind his Monster Energy Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car which was equipped with spiked ice tires from BFGoodrich Tires. Block then successfully jumped his car over 70 feet, with the snowboarders jumping beside him, creating epic photo sequences, one of which is featured on the cover of Snowboarder Magazine.

"All in all I'm really stoked on how well it went," said Ken. "In all the experiences I've ever had, it truly was one of the most fun things I've ever done."

Video of the entire rally car/snowboarder session will be featured in DC's Mtn.Lab 1.5 set to release on DVD early November 2007. Additional video clips will also appear in Travis Pastrana's next DVD, Nitro Circus 5 'Thrillbillies', which will release in late November 2007.

The fires are a bit more mellow now.. + Jake Brown X Games slam.

So I´m like so close to done with the movie. I´ve had technical problems for a few days...

The fires are calming down a little and the temp is not 90 degrees anymore. It´s back to the normal 70´s now.

I sent my swedish friends Linus and Joel to LA for a few days since the smoke was pretty bad here.

They even have their own baby sitter. The GPS. My parents nick names my GPS "Ulla-Bella" a few years ago. For those swedes out there who watched Solstollarna in the 80´s might understand the name.

Here´s a clip of Jake Brown from X-Games this summer:

Still burning..

But the air is a little better now where I´m at.

Only a few days left until I´m a free man.

Fire is getting close...

Here are some google maps of my area.

I´m in the highlighted area..

My boss´house is only 1 mile (1.6 km) from the fire. I´m sure I know more people who are affected.

It better not come close to me!

San Diego is burning

It´s dark outside of my house. It looks like a scene from Apocalypse Now or something. Just all orange, dust on the ground and smells really bad.

I heard there are blue skies a few miles north of me, but here it looks pretty bad.

250.000 people have evacuated already. A lot of the freeways here are closed. I´m sure people are panicing.
So maybe I should go get some guns and ammo + a gas mask like everyone else.

Ok.. back to work..

Movie is pretty much done. This is what it looks like:

No trip for me

I guess I´m not going to Sacto for the premier.

So I´m back to making my eyes bleed for a few more days and probably re editing some parts due to music right issues. With my luck I´m sure I´ll get prostatic cancer before next week too.

I want a new car.

Countach, Delorean, Caddy DTS, VW Phaeton, Lincoln Town Car or another Lincoln Aviator are all considered.

Movie Premier "DC MTN LAB 1.5"

I´m almost done..

We had a small-ish premier in Encinitas last night for the DC employees and other snowboard industry people.

It wasn´t a very polished version of the movie, but it got the job done.

I guess the response was good.

Here are some screen shots.

I got a little drunk and feel relived that the movie is almost done.

Going to Sacramento tomorrow for another premier.
We´re not really having any premiers here in southern California so this could be the only one I go to.

Almost there...

Here´s the press release:
